Boo! The blog is back! And what better way to make a return than with a spooky creation?
Let’s start the Halloween crafting early this year. I dug up my stash of black cardstock for a monotone presentation. To keep things from looking flat, I layered glittered and textured papers and die-cut a window for my vampire owl using my (still trusty) Silhouette Portrait. Owls are nighttime creatures, after all.
I pieced my front cutout from different parts, feeling like Frankenstein. I made the inside a print-and-cut:
The vampire owl is no longer available in Silhouette’s online store, but there are similar designs that can be used.
Die-cuts: Halloween skull doily decoration and Halloween crazy skeleton ornate frame by Jamie Koay for the card front; vampire owl by Rivka Wilkins; ornate frame by Hero Arts (for sentiment)
Font: Droeming
Cardstock: textured black (Bazzill Basics), glitter black and textured white
Cute card. I love the owl. Great font choice. I love that you included which font it is too.
