This blog turned 3 today. For me, it’s amazing to look back on the dozens of entries (this is post No. 125) and see how my blog and craft have evolved in a few years.
I’ve been making cards for more than a decade, and though I have developed a certain style, it gradually has changed. My cards have reflected trends and technology, such as my Silhouette, which connects my graphic design skills with paper crafting.
I have gained followers and found inspiration from other blogging crafters because I created this site. Thank you for spending time perusing, reading and commenting on this blog!
Here’s a colorful, fun birthday card that I created for one of my coworkers. He loves music — he always has background music quietly playing at his desk, and he occasionally breaks out into song. He has a lot of vocal talent unfortunately unmatched by his office mates. The inside of the card reads, “We would sing, but we can’t carry a tune like you!”
Die-cuts: musical flourishes by Snapdragon Snippets (which I slightly modified), music notes by Echo Park (I created outline pieces) and my sunburst pattern
Font: Lobster (I created outline pieces)
Patterned paper: neon paper by American Crafts
Cardstock: silver linen specialty by Hot Off The Press neon blue, textured white and black
Cool card – I agree how skills evolve through the years and now we can manipulate technology and make it our own! Need to dust off that Silhouette of mine! LOL!!
Happy blog birthday to you!!
