It’s Halloween, and I have a trick and a treat.

Last week, I wrote what was meant to have been my final Halloween post for the year. Well, that’s not true. I have a “bonus boo” for you.

Whether you have a die-cut machine or pre-made items, this card is easy to create. I chose to have my monsters exclaim, “OOO!” “EEE!” and AAH!” with “BOO.” on the inside of the card, and wrote these in black ink. Don’t forget to add some “bling” for the eyes!

Here’s how to make it:

Make a card from a 5-by-10-inch piece of multi-colored, striped cardstock (I used “Cauldron” from the Eerie collection by Basic Grey). Adhere three, 2-inch-high die-cuts of monsters in three coordinating colors (I used my Making Memories Slice Elite, “Toil and Trouble” design card and light-green, orange and purple metallic textured cardstock, then adhered black cardstock underneath each monster’s mouth) to the upper left, lower-left bottom and lower-right edges of the card.

I created three different die-cuts of monsters, each 2 inches high, from the “Toil and Trouble” design card on my Making Memories Slice Elite. I then adhered black cardstock underneath the mouth of each monster.

If the die-cuts overhang the edges of the card, trim the excess.

On three 1 1/2-inch-wide die-cuts of talk bubbles, write “OOO!” on one, “EEE!” on the second and “AAH!” on the third, centered, in black ink (such as Sakura Pigma Micron 01). Adhere them above each of the monsters (I used my Slice, “Remember This” design card and black and white cardstock).

I created three 1 1/2-inch-wide die-cuts of talk bubbles in white cardstock, with 1 1/2-inch-wide shadows in black cardstock, from the “Remember This” design card. I mirrored one of the die-cuts so that it pointed right, for the monster die-cut on the card’s right edge.

Affix two light-green rhinestone stickers to the light-green monster’s eyes, two orange rhinestones to the orange monster’s eyes and two purple rhinestones to the purple monster’s eyes.
